Eric Davis’ Heart Surgery
Latest Update
August 6th:
Apologies that it has been a bit since our last update! We want to thank you all so much for your generous support and kindness to us. As of today, it has been 4 weeks since Eric’s surgery. Eric is feeling a bit stronger everyday, though his energy level is low. He gets winded after about a flight of stairs, which is humbling. He is not allowed to lift more than 10 pounds or do things like twist his torso much until about September 1. He has overdone it a few times which caused extra soreness, again, all of which is humbling. Normal life things like getting dressed, getting in and out of the car, taking a shower, still take a bit of extra time for him. His appetite is up, though, and he is able to manage the pain w/ Tylenol, instead of the heavy stuff. At check up with his surgeon the other day, he said that Eric is recovering well (He also said that they took some pics of Eric’s surgery since it is a unique case, so we’re hoping to get those!). We are thankful that he has not had any recent heart complications. B/c of that, his surgeon is reducing some of his heart medication with the hopes that he will not experience any further complications. If his recovery continuous to go well, he should be back to work around September 1. Thank you all again for your prayers and care. We thank God for you all!
