In Memory of Nick Izard
Cornerstone Church,
As you all have heard, the Lord saw it best to take His beloved child Nick Izard home to be with Him. We rejoice knowing that Nick will spend eternity with Christ, and that those who know the Lord will one day see him again.
The following obituary was published recently by Valley Mortuary in Jackson:
Nicholas Izard, resident of Jackson, Wyoming, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on Friday, December 14, 2012. His life ended the way he lived it every day: in a flash, holding his wife’s hand.
Nick was born on October 14, 1980, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the first-born son of Lee and Ann Izard. He lived in many beautiful places such as Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, and Mississippi, where he met his life-long sweetheart, Sasha. They then moved out west to Idaho and Wyoming, where they married in 2007 and began their family in 2008. He gave his life to Christ in 2009 and became a member of Cornerstone Church in Wilson.
Nick was passionate about everything. He threw himself into loving God and others, he was a devoted family man, and he was an extreme outdoorsman who enjoyed soccer, kayaking, climbing, fishing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and game to try anything once. He was either about to embark on an adventure, on an adventure, or just returning from an adventure. Nick was a warm, compassionate, outgoing man with a terrific sense of humor and was always willing to give selflessly to others.
Nick is survived by his wife, Sasha Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his daughter Cheyanne Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his parents Lee and Ann Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his brother Adam Izard, of Breckenridge, Colorado, and his brother Brian, of Jackson, Wyoming, and a host of friends and family from coast to coast. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Charlotte Izard, of Sparta, Wisconsin.
Nick’s memorial was held on December 19, 2012, at Craig Thomas Visitor Center in Grand Teton National Park, a place that was very close to his heart because he worked and played there.
As a church family, we mourn with Nick’s family and we desire to come alongside Sasha, Cheyanne, his parents, and his brothers, to help them in tangible ways. Many of you are already helping in multiple ways and we are so thankful. Please continue to show your love and support by being available to help. There will be many more opportunities in the near future.
One way as a church family that we desire to show our love and support is by helping to provide for Sasha and Cheyanne by collecting a love offering for them. There are three ways that you will be able to participate:
